Savory Brand

Savory: Umami, also referred to as savoriness, is one of the basic tastes sensed by specialized receptor cells present on the human and animal tongue. Umami (旨味) is a loanword from Japanese meaning "good flavor" or "good taste" (noun). Brothy, "meaty", or "savory" have been proposed as alternative translations, however.

Environment/Sustainability

NIPPON STEEL & SUMIKIN BUSSAN AMERICAS, INC. has recognized that the oceans in the world require us to keep a balance between environmental stewardship and the growing demands for seafood in the market. The raw material of our seafood products are caught by the fishing practice that keeps the fish population at a healthy level and maintains the ability of the species to reproduce without jeopardizing the structure of the ecosystem for future generations. The fishing quotas are determined by the local government and is strictly followed. We only purchase raw material that has been harvested and fish with sustainable manners.
